In economics under national income we have something we call withdrawals and injectors.Withdrawals reduce aggregate demand and injectors increase aggregate demand. In this our modern world the devil have increase the level of his injectors (ways through which he tries to deceive man) so it becomes very hard to resit sin and keep faith.in the mass medias he is there,in books he lives, with friends he is more prevailing: i mean every where you turn or look the devil is working there. To win we need alot of withdrawals(abstain from the mediums within which he works) and this is very hard because it cuts across almost all sections of life.

Satan is alive and well on planet Earth. He continues to tempt us thru all of our senses as he did with Eve in the Garden of Eden-he just uses all the latest technology. He knows each of our weakest points and strives to tempt us in each area. In the fast paced world we live in, we are bombarded by things that sre not appropraite for a christian.
Each of us needs to keep the daily close connection with God through Bible study and prayer.

no ,we say it is harder because we have no faith and we do not read God's word anymore
  5. quote 16.04.2008 09:52
is it that we are weaker in faith or is the devil our escape goat for sinning . yes he is about like a roaring lion but do we abstain from sin through Christ or do we submit to sin

i don't think its hard. if only we'd abide by the church laws nothing would be difficult. the church laws are like road signs they show us which way to go so that we don't get lost or hurt along the way. so all we need to do is have faith and abide. God sent his son so that we may have the answers to lifes questions. if we used what god gave up for us we wouldn't be going through difficult times. it shows the amount of faith we have, life doesn't have to be difficult, let alone being an sda, but if we do not humble ourselves and abide, life starts becoming unfair.

I think if you have given your heart completely to Jesus, it is not any harder now to be a Seventh day Adventist than it was years ago. In fact, when I was younger, several years ago, it was harder for me to be a SDA than it is now. I believe it was because I had not fully been born again. The things of the world looked good to me back then as much as they do to young people today. The secret is to give your self to Jesus completely, obey and follow Him. Pray daily, read the bible, go to church and fellow ship with fellow believers, stand up for your faith and talk to Jesus as a friend, because he is your friend. The best friend you will ever have.

It's very hard being a christian. Even with faith sometimes life can get you down. you have to talk to God and study his words and always remember he will never give us more than we can bear. No matter what when we don't feel him near he is always there, because he said he will never leave us nor forsake us. Lord help me to hold on and never to give up, because you will never give up on me. Keep the faith my brothers and sisters his coming is near. We have come to far to turn back now. God bless us all

It is much harder to be an adventist nowadays, because one of the problems of the people is financial. Satan is now working very hard to tempt people because he know that his end is very near.

it is much easier now and i can see God's hand working that today people eat healthy food and many of our ministries some how is making ways into other Christian denominations. E.g. Singapore now have 5 days week, which helps many to keep Sabbath unlike in my time i've to steadfast not to labour on Sabbath. God works in finishing as i sees it. Amen
  11. quote 10.07.2008 08:13
I am a Senior and as I look back on the years of my youth, it was so much simpler to worship and serve God. The focus of our home was the Church and God. Sabbaths were such a blessing. We always attended Sabbath School and Church in the morning, went home for a meal that had been prepared on Friday - warmed up on Sabbath, and the afternoon was spent studying God's 2nd book - Nature. We had prayer meeting mid-week and Young People's meeting on Friday evening. We Ingathered as a church family. We had church socials and events that were just for the young people. We attended church school. We attended a full 10 day camp-meeting. 13th Sabbath was always a high day in Sabbath School and Church. The children always recited the memory verses for the quarter. We all brought a special 13th Sabbath Offering for the Mission Field for that quarter. We always had Communion every quarter (not like today- only occasionally) We were Baptized in the river that ran by our little church. We would go to the Nursing Homes on Sabbath too to visit and sing with the Seniors.........We had time to love and serve the Lord. I am glad that we are living in End-times for I know that His Coming is so soon........He is waiting for us to finish His work and than He will return for His children. May we all be faithful until the end is my prayer. Gram Dixie

I think it is much harder these days to be a an Adventist. First of all I was never really raised in the church. My faith definitely needs a lot of work and being away from home at a secular university definitely isn't making it any easier. There are just too many new ways to become distracted now, and many of them are so subtle. I'm a freshman and I've been here for a little over a week, but just look at all the un-Godly activities that these kids are getting pulled into already! It's scary, especially since I don't know of any other Adventist students. And let me tell you, worshipping alone in your dorm on Sabbath just is not the greatest.

Personaly i think being an adventist now a day it is harder looking at what is going on in this world. The devil is busy with God's children. Adventist are becoming like the world, they do what the world does, eat like them, dress like them and even work the way they does. I think as children of God we should stick together, cause when we are all together it is difficult for the devil to get one of us. The most important of them all we should stick to prayer and always rember that He is at the door.
