Is The Church Doing Enough To Help You Find Love Within the Church?

Lets face it. Unequally yoked relationships are a minefield but what is the church doing to help you find a life partner within the church?

Do You Think The Church Is Doing Enough To Help You Find Love Within the Church?

I feel the church is not doing much in that area, There should be programs that bring the singles together and share life experiences.
Is it wrong to marry from outside the SDA even if the person is a strong christian? After all we are all christians and believe in the same God.

It looks like the Church is almost failing in that area, but I think young people don't really know what they want as well. People are just focusing on how much money they want to have before they can even think of marriage, that is a good thing to do but the thing is we always don't get there so we stay single till it is too much. It is a shame that marriage institution is actually loosing it's value in the church. I stand to be corrected on this one but at this stage in my walk in the Church I believe it is better for me to get someone outside the church who is willing to work with me on the matters of faith than to focus on the people who are not sure where they are going and who don't really have a clue on how to behave in a Christian relationship.

The Church doesn't have an obligation to help me find my mate, but a caring church will have programs which enables young people and in particular singles to learn how to relate to the opposite sex, how to find a life partner and what to look for. The local church will promote the concept of looking beyond the local congregation, and where possible have social events or programs which bring young people from other congregations together. In this way our young people will have a larger field to choose frome and will not feel limited in thier choices, and thus help to curb the desire or temptation to look outside the church within local communities. Often young persons don't have the means on the own in some places of venturing far from thier communities in search of love.

As a Church we ve failed in that area in that we talk of what would be and not provide solutions. I implore the leadership to come up with ways of encouraging our youth to marry from the church and put in place mechanisms that can make that possible nd easy.
